    The shot of just the little red legs with the wall and step behind is a keeper for me. Such a beautiful combination of colours, tones and textures. Sure it probably isn’t something that the family are going to print huge and put on the wall but it just has that little something about it that really caught my eye. As the saying goes though if you get an hour to photograph something spend the first 5 minutes taking the obvious shots then the other 55 minutes being a photographer.

    Thanks for you comments Mark. All of them! Yes, the shoes and legs with all the contrasting colours is a favourite of mine, too. I always include images like this in my portrait sessions, and more often than not they’re purchased in one form or another. This one made it into the client’s album as a full page image. I think sometimes people don’t know they like these kinds of images until you offer them.
